Went up a couple of days ago to see some of the progress.
Was confronted by the cossie floor under the car.......
You can see where he is folding up the excess so he can weld it too, wants to do it this way for more strength
And lastly whats the front hole for on the chassis leg, this is looking from underneath at it, the other two i think are for the intercooler and the radiator, Beefy is this the one you thought was for the horns???? Let me know as billy wants to cut it off!

What a project you are a brave man for cuttin up a cosy but what a car it will be when its finished hell of a build look forward to the next update

Well i had to annoy the hell out of him to finally send me a pic and here it is, one cossie floor in a series 1.......
cant wait to get home! getting there......think i am going to discuss a final date with my mate.... its taking too long, wass wanting the car built by now...sadly thats the problem with using people you know. Wish i had sent it down to you Beefy/Carl would have been done ages ago.

Went to see the car day after i landed, here it is, floor tacked in and starting to get there....
Front wings need the new inner wings in and a little extra piece made since the profiles of the wheel tubs are different.
Front cross member, will be all renewed and modified, just tacked to keep it in...
Starting to weld in the floor pan...
The beam in so he could check out his meaurements were right and the wheels were in the centre of the arches...
And the day job, rally cars in for front end!!!
I am going out to help this week, ordered new front panel, rear panel, rear arches and outer sills, going to help out as much as i can and get stuck in!!! Cant wait, it will soon be up on the spit to get the rear end done..

Well i went to help with the car today,

Another of the rally car, waiting to go.
Yip its snowing up here and the whole of britain doesnt have afkn clue how to drive in it, what you need to do is get yourself one of these!!
And back into see my pride and joy!
Started to prep the bits that need cut out
Under the gutter was rusty, grinder out.....
Not as bad as the other side though! Will need to cut this out..
Sides need the stickers off and rubbed down..
Rub everything down some more...
Thats it for today, Billy wouldnt let me cut bits off until the new pieces arrived...sensible really.....

Walked in yesterday and actually caught billy working on the car!!!
He has put new inner wings on, cut them and rolled them flat at the bottom where they meet the sierra inner wings. He's making the part that needs to be filled in at the top of the strut mount. He's doen it already, cant find the pic of it tacked in! going to cut off all the old escort bits that you can see to the right and grind it all down etc to make it look smooth and flush.
Next the scuttle panel.......better go drop it off for him!

dropped the scuttle panel off today and billy had finished the passnger wing and seam welded it, he was onto the driver side, cut it all off and was getting ready to do all that side too! Forgot my bloody phone so couldnt take any pics. i should be out there this week cutting all the other bits off as we have all the parts now to complete. Cant wait.

Went by today to see the results of the weekend, sadly nothing extra but i took some pictures of the wing that he has done.
Still to be all ground down and made pretty.....
Billys started smoothing down the outer section, when its finished you wont be able to see welds...
And all the parts inside it waiting to get put on, front and rear sections, full sills, arches, scuttle panel....

Well went to see it today and nothiings been done, the car will be leaving billy's this week, phoned andy G, will talk to him tomorrow and see what he says, is there anyone else that might be able to finish the project for me?
