Mad Idea? Fiesta 1.25 -> 2.0
Hey i have recently purchased a fiesta mk6 and i want to replace the engine with that of a 2.0 or anything along the lines of more power, but i dont wish to just buy a different car as i want to stay with my original one.
what engine would go in with the least problems and if so what price could it cost me?
Thanks,
Johno

if you wanted you could fit the 2.0 dura from the 150 into your fez with ease

a full focus rs set up engine, turbo and manifilds wont be too hard if you're handy with tools, mate done it, think u can buy the engine mount then he made new gearbox mounts and fitted 6 speed and st170 shafts were a straight fit

Most problem for fitting the FRS engine in another car might be immobilizer and OBD-2.
But it's not a hard job to fit the engine with an aftermarket management into any Fiesta.
And yes, Duratec ST engine fits fine into the MK6, but you'll need the gearbox also. It's called IB5+ because the Duratec is a Mazda engine with a different pattern for the gearbox bellhousing.

I have had this done -
does your car have abs?
I had mine all in for Ł1700 with a gearbox and a tuned st150 engine it was 2.5 years ago so the prices of them might of changed but not by loads - why not sell your car and save up a few grand and just buy a st?
Plus N/A wise they feel slow

Can somebody confirm that those alloys i own are Raceline RL7? as i believe they are desposable magnesiums?
ive now replaced these alloys with a WolfRace ProLite Set 18x7.5 with 30 offset.
