More doors means more work
Seeings as theres a trend for back to basic motoring, figured its about time i showed off my latest pet project
A 1.4 LX 4 door in fabulous Jade green, brought of ebay back before crimbo the car was stood for 18months after previous owners death.. 130k on the clock with service history upto 90k the car original right down to the floor mats n stereo..
Sadly being stood untreated tinworm has crept in to the rear arches so these are the first big repair planned note how clean the inner arches are
So first step was to get through the mot a quick service, wash n scrub up and replacement headlight n bumper as both where cracked she drove round the road and huge suprise She passed!.requring only 20quids worth of work for a new CV boot n fitting >>Happy Days
Being tested..
Underside.. Its had 1 patch of welding done to the boot floor some years ago but other than that the car is completly solid..cills rear chasis etc are spotless bar a bit of muck
fully legit n legal it was then upto to the inlaws to raid the spares parts
RS skirt n spolier (donated from MO trial fitted)
And thats all for now.. A serious turn in health n weather have ment no mores been done however the parts have been arriving thick and fast including
88spec front bumper with RS splitter
New Gen ford Decals
Clear front n side repaeters
4 branch manifold
Badboy bonnet
Bit of chrome for the bay
RS Half Cill skirts
Other parts on watch and want are set of lowering springs, pair of 90spec recaros or full Orion 1600e interior for some extra luxary
Plans next once the weather get better is to give it a through going over with degreaser get the floor. arches etc cleaned..start to detail n update the engine bay and go from there
