STBash - bodywork might just get destickered and cleaned up - money is a bit tight at the mo
Righty, quick update, finally got chance to nip home to my mums and pick up this package!
Inside:
Aeromotive Billet Pump Speed Controller!
(And a replacement fuel pressure regualator as I had to sell mine to a customer!)
Fuel Pump Speed Controller was bought as i'd been getting a little concerned how much my patience would be tested driving the car on anything other than a flat out sprint.
Having an Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump 3 foot behind the drivers seat was going to be hellishly noisy whichever way you looked at it. This little beauty will allow me to set the voltage to the fuel pump at different rev ranges meaning i can have 8.0volts at idle and the full 14.0volts flat out.
I'll also be using a relayed output from the ECU to flick the pump controller into 'flat out' mode whenever more than 7psi of boost pressure is achieved.
Not only will there be a reduction in noise by using this, but there will be less fuel circulated and returned to the tank, which in turn means the fuel won't get as hot.
Cold fuel is nice!
Also got another package due to arrive soon, another box ticked that has been weighing on my mind!
AND - the new bonnet and freshly painted bumper are due back on Friday!

Well Mike,
I had said christmas, however, with my new business venture and degree assignments etc. that might be a tall order!
I'm now going to say it'll be done when it's done - i'll keep chipping away at it
I'd really like to get it to the ring and central day next year though

It won't be mega power sadly as i'm restricted by the supercharger. BUT, if i can push the boundaries and learn a bit along the way then happy days

Quick update.
Bumper and bonnet not back as yet, no biggy, hopefully they'll be back by the end of the week
Did a little more today with a spare couple of hours and pushed on with the interior as i want to get all the carpet and carbon done ASAP so i can get the cage in...
Yes... you read that right - it's getting a cage
Just a simple 6 point bolt in job, but i will be modifying it to carry a harness bar so the harnesses are doing their job properly.
First problem was to make the rear sections, i ordered them off performance trim who actually didn't do a rear doorcard at the time so sent me some random ones to cut up...
So we went from this:
To this:
To this:
(Please excuse the dusty fingerprints and that mark is just dust, not a scratch!)
Then it was on to the fronts!
Had to modify the handles a little:
And after much jiggery pokery and hand filing...
I've edged the carbon so there are no sharp edges or splinters when using the handle, also, will stop any chattering of the carbon against the plastic.
Sorry it's not a mega thrilling update - but i'm going to try and keep nibbling away at little jobs like this for now!

Cheeky
Yeah - charged ST170s are fun
Erm, i have a slight problem (nothing to do you with your product) in as much as i didn't strip the climate control panel before asking for your help... which has meant that the part i thought i could replace, i can't
Looking gay Alan
