Pictures, video & Photoshop ForumIf you want to show off your photoshop skills, share pics and videos of your car or other cars you've found, here's the place to go.
There will still be road fund license discs in cars for another 12 months to come, as any issued up to October this year will still have to be displayed.
And after that, I can't wait for them to come off. Saves messing around with them when replacing screens, and I can bin them all
for people with show cars you will be able to get the replica tax discs of the date your car was first taxed and leave them displayed but thats about the only good thing to come out from discs being binned as a legal requirement
The discs aren't being binned "as a legal requirement" - the DVLA are simply choosing not to issue discs anymore (since there's no need to). It's not going to be a "legal instruction" not to display them anymore, well, because there won't be anything to display! If it was a "legal instruction" not to display a disc, then you wouldn't be allowed to display a fake/decorational one either...
Spoke to dvla last week on this subject, who say replica discs will only be allowed after sept 2015 for decorative use just because the term binned was used dont be so picky as anyone with a bit of savvy knew what was meant
I wasn't talking about the term "binned" - I was talking about "legal requirement". I would've thought anyone with a bit of savvy could've figured that out
Bugger me Thrush do you have to pick a fight over everything. Like the sticker!!
Exactly how am I picking a fight over anything? I merely pointed out it's not a legal requirement to do away with tax discs, and I get chastised by 1-PD for it with snarky comments about "anyone with a bit of savvy" etc, which apparently is fine, yet if I respond I'm apparently starting a fight over a sticker - a sticker I haven't made any mention to at any point, I might add...
Or should we let the forum go to (even more) shit, and let people post incorrect info that others could believe?
