changed tdci pump no fuel
Hi guys does anyone know if the mrk 3 tdci mondeo has a fuel cut off.
I changed the fuel pump now not starting no fuel getting to injectors.
should I have given it 10 mins with ign on before turning it over so the ecu could get used to new pump. Its like something has cut the fuel off.
Any help ideas
Thanks
James

Hi Mark
I believe the tdci does not need the fuel pump to be coded to the ecu?
It seems like for some reason the fuel is not getting to the injectors, like as if there is a cut off some where.

Hi James
I tried forcing the fuel direct to the pump with an an electric pump pumping fuel from a 25 litre container and the fuel just gets pumped back down the return pipe to the tank?
Easy start still wont start. cant tow it as on my own.

I have a feeling that the pump is coded and you will have to get it uncoded as your immobilizer will be enabled.
The large nut on the pump has to be very tight also.
I h ad the problem on a transit and it wouldn't start aftet a pump change.tightened the nut up a tiny bit more and the van started straight away. I had towed it for miles before and it wouldn't fire
