Default Main bearing and Big end bearing shells

For Cosworth YB
Whats special about the Vandervell ones?


Ive been told only to use these,(which i intend to do unless someone tells me not to lol )
but just wondered why? and whats different about them,

also. lookin on greham goode website,
they list vandervell bearings as being a lot cheaper than
Std bearings

GGR sell the proper Ford ones on ebay - full set for Ł59 standard or Ł75 oversize

the ones they sell in their E bay Store are Vandervell ones..they are the ones ive been told to use..

but, look other places Including greham goode site, and they dont
mention vandervell and they are twice the price too !

i just want to order the right ones lol

feel a bit of a pikey ordering the cheaper ones
but if they are the right ones then i guess thats ok lol

i was wondering this...........maby do a post asking engine builders what shels they use in the 500-600bhp engines and see what they recomend

I just bought a set via ebay from GGR and they have the proper Ford stamps on them, and are +.5

They are made by Vandervell for Ford as they also have their marks on them as well - Probably the ones supplied direct from Vandervell dont have the Ford stamps so a bit cheaper

As above

When my engine came apart the bearings had ford logo's AND glacier vandervell stamped into them.

when i ordered new genuine cossie ones,they came with glacier vandervell stamped into them

thanks guys!! yeah i noticed the Vandervell logo on the original ford ones too. soo a set is on order!!
