Default Reinstalling an Engine.

Reinstalling an Engine WITH gearbox attached.

Can this be done without removing the sway bar?

Id think so, but you would have to have the car pretty high off the ground or a ramp to get the downward angle. It wouldnt take that much longer to just seperate them, put the engine in and then the box.

You're right about it not taking much longer.

I would just do that from the start, but in two of my previous Sapphires i've had problems with where the sway bar bolts to the chassis rail (someone else said he had the same problem). Idiots over-tightening/cross threading. I'm thinking as soon as I unbolt it, i'll hear the nut rolling away down the inside of the chassis...again.

I never removed roll bars when fitting my gearbox. I got the car nice and high on axle stands and rested the bell housing on the anti-roll bar before lifting and pushing it home onto the engine.
