I want to send my bosch 803 greens away for an ultrasonic clean
but now i saw on ebay that someone sell's the little filters for inside
the injectors is it really necessary to replace them or is just an ultrasonic
clean enough, does anyone replaced the filters yet?

Roy,if you have them cleaned/serviced and flow tested then you will get new seals,filters,caps etc replaced and your old ones back.Contact the Boschman off here,not sure if he's on here now,if not he's on the escort cosworth site.I have his number if you want your 803's sorted.

Thanks but the problem is that i live in the netherlands and the do that overhere to i was just wondering if you can replace the filters easily yourself.

Filters are a doddle to replace, but rarely cause problems anyway, it is the accumulation of varnish from the fuel tends to cause stickiness of older injectors, ultrasonic cleaning removes this gum/varnish from the pintle and pin that actually are the on/off flow control.
Well worth getting older injectors at least flowed if not cleaned, or new ones flowed prior to using for first time, cheap peace of mind imo.
I had some 17 y/o ones done on a car that was running perfect, could not really see a difference but very different on the road start better, gets power right away without waiting so long for warm up etc, mid range a bit better.

Flowed did you mean then the flow tested how much cc's every minute?

I always flow injectors prior to using them, to ensure that they are all doing what they should with a decent spray pattern, but more importantly to ensure they are evenly matched, so if you had a injector flowing slightly less for example you could mark this one and ensure it went in the cylinder nearest the water pump, ie you ideally wouldn't want it ending up in the furthest away from the pump.
Showing the spray pattern will also show you whether they need cleaning, ie if they dribble rather than create a spray they need cleaning.
It's suicide engine wise not to, considering the cost of this and engine rebuild cost!!
