Default Change ECU, L1 to L8

Hi!

A friend of mine want´s to swap the ecu on his 3door. He bought
a green top L8 ecu but the car doesn´t start. He changed the wires
on the TPS but no change.
The past 1/2 hour I used the search function and found a couple of
different information.
1.) change the wires on the original TPS
2.) change the original TPS to 4x4 TPS without wire change
3.) change the original TPS to 4x4 TPS and change the wiring
4.) change the chip
5.) remove lambda control and or knock sensor...

Who is able to give me some support?

Thank´s in advance!!!

When using a Level 8 ECU on a 2wd drive Cos you need to use the 4x4 TPS & switch the 2 outside wires around also.

Simon.

correct

(unless also installing a 4x4 loom, in which case the wiring doesn't need changing)

none of that stuff matters when starting the car - it should start anyway regardless of what TPS is fitted and how it is wired

something else is wrong - is there a chip in there? what babyboard? is the chip plugged in to the socket in the correct place and the correct way up?

The ECU itself is working. I installed it before in my 4x4 and drove a round
with it.

So the car should start, doesn´t matter which TPS, Chip,... is installed?

if you have the chip for roughly the correct size of injectors, then it should start yes. even if there is no TPS

is the power and everything correct? does the boost control valve click when you power on to key position 2, and the fuel pump run for a short time?

Correct. For now, just unplug the TPS and the car will definately start if the chip is correct for the spec.
