A Few Problems with my Ford Puma!
I bought my Ford Puma last May and haven't had any problems with it up until now!
The passenger footwell has a pool of water in it anytime there is heavy rain...which is very common in UK!
Also, I was checking my oil and noticed the coolant was empty. I have never checked this before or ever filled it up so I took it to a garage and told them it was empty and could they fill it up. They said there must be a reason why it is empty and had a look at it. They said I needed to get a new 'plastic housing on the left hand side of the engine'....I am not a car expert, can anyone shed any light on this?
Also, the car key remote does not open the door but i'm guessing this just needs a new battery? Although the red LED light sometimes comes on if I push hard enough!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You've probably got a split in the grommet that the wiring goes through the bulkhead making your footwell leak. Or a blocked pollen filter.
My old Puma used to use a bit of water (max to min line in a week or two) but I never found a leak and it never caused an issue. Probably a small crack in the header tank.
Might be a dead battery or a dirty contact in the key for the locking. If you join my forum as linked to below, there's a step by step guide to reprogramming your key should you need to.

Thanks for the tips! I will give the key a go.
With regards to the other issues, are they expensive to fix? I don't know that there is a leak for sure so I should probably get that checked out first. I just want the car to be road worthy for the next 4 months as I sadly have to sell it in January.
Thanks for your help on this
