1.8 tdci motorway problem
I wonder if someone can help, after doing a longish run on the motorway 20 plus miles, when you get off at the slip road my engine stalls and will not start again till its cooled a little (10 mins or so) it can be very uncomfortable as its happened 4 or 5 times now and its been very busy so im stuck on a very busy slip road and roundabout, do you think its some sort of sensor over heating or something else?
other than this the car seems fine just seems to stall after a long constant run
oh and its a 56 reg 1.8 tdci.
thanks Ian

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
It could be a few things but assuming the car is well maintained I would be looking at the cam shaft position sensor as it "could" be that and it doesn't cost a fortune to change?

Its a 56 reg tdci sport estate, the fuel filter was changed at the last service, do you mean the glow plug light flashes when it stalls or any time, the answer the same anyway it seems to be working as it should no flashing at all just come on when the key is inserted then goes off after 5 seconds or so
