Default Fiesta zetec S, what would you do if you bought one?

Ive just bought a totally standard mk5 zetec S, its really tidy and looks great.
Im going to get the cambelt and water pump done on it, but my question is, what do these really benefit from?

I know the basics about them but havent had time to look deeper into it.
Im not after a full rebuild, but just some touches.

I think 4 new speakers would benefit it, and ive heard they sound great with an induction kit?

Anyway, what would you do if it was yours and what do these really benefit from?
cheers.

I use one as my daily and tbh theres not many left std, ind kit will only make it drink more fuel and make a quiet fiesta noisy as with the kids that fit race tubes, nice set of wheels and a wash hey presto

don't fit an induction kit, just get a good panel filter, coilovers and polybushes work a treat,

really it all depends on what direction you want to go with the car, purely tuning or styling

i break them so if you need any parts, just give me a shout

As with anything, just make it a bloody tidy car in standard form. I think I had a MK5... Might of been a MK4 on a 2000 plate? was a stunning little car, went well enough but the handling is what made that car unreal! Nothing I have driven since has compared to it which includes M3's and road spec cosworth 4x4s etc.

Ahh lovely. Yeah nice cars, but heard they rust now. Mine only had 9000 miles on the clock. I abused that car and it took it fine. Loved it to bits

only rust now? 99.9% of them have been rusting since 2002, the rear arches hold water and rot from the inside out and the sills go too

First thing I would do is take all the kit off and all the interior out and check it with a fine tooth comb for rot. They are a nightmare for it. I would be in tears if I spent my hard earned on modifications, just for the MOT man to give the car back in kit form in a few bin liners

I will post some pictures of it, its on 80K with one owner from new, a 60 year old couple who wanted something auto. Its been garaged and looks really rust free. I will go over it.

Ive become a pretty avid detailer recently so will go over the car with a clay bar, and under side with g101 etc and get it all looking nice.

I think i may get some 40mm springs for it. I dont want to modify it really, but there are things that will improve the car.

Ive become very familiar with modifying 106gtis/saxos, hopefully will soon get to the same level with these.

On most aftermarket exhaust systems are they standard fitment?
For example on a saxo, a piper back box or a supersprint and pretty much every other will bolt on to the standard midpipe and a full system will bolt on as a cat back and all the after market manifolds that decat are standard replacement.

Good to know you break them, i will be in touch.
