Default Fitting black top into rs turbo

Fitting a blacktop into a erst

Few questions

Black top heads are they the same between 1.8/2.0 as people advertise them as they are the same?

The black top mondeo/focus rs Inlet manifolds again are 1800 inlets the same as 2000 inlets

I'm running a st170 bottom end has anyone got any pictures of the idler pulley mod?

I have a converted silvertop engine mount will that fit the blacktop?

I thing the 1.8 and 2.0 heads are the same apart from the cams, the focus rs head has different cams and exhaust valves. And yes the 1.8/2.0l inlets are the same

I can chip in to say the silver top mount won't fit the black top engine. We took the mount off my mates silver top thinking it'd be a straight swap up there not.

On the idler pulley front there was a guy selling a conversion bracket on eBay along with a bracket to drop the alternator down for about Ł40 posted.

I think ebay is having some troubles at the minute, I've searched for loads of things that are coming up as none available.

He had some nice pieces sourced by me to build a right nice engine. I have all the parts still but he sold his car and looking for a buyer on the engine parts. All still new not even been dummy built yet. I can pass your number onto him for you or vice versa. His on the site can't remember his username I think it's

Am I right in thinking that it's only this mount that needs a rework and the other mounts line up with the ib5 box without too much issues?

Yes mate... a 1.3Ka box for example is a perfect choice if you fit a Hydraulic MC whilst your engine is out like Rikki is.
