EFI Conversion - Revometer and Fuel Guage Issues
Hi Guys,
I have tried to have a search around the forum for this topic as I remember seeing it in the past but couldn't make head nor tail of it.
The car is have is an Escort 1.6GL which has had a Fiesta RS Turbo running on OFAB management put in it so it is running EFI
The problems I am having is that the fuel gauge runs out on a quarter and is totally inaccurate and also that the revometer isn't working at all (It seems to have power as it twitches when you turn the ignition on).
I have read somewhere it has something to do with the Edis module needing moved and that fuel reading is wrong becuase I am using an electric fuel pump?? or can I just swap the clocks? - All help greatly appreciated!

I am unsure what version of the clocks I have so I have attached the picture here:

For the rev counter on mine i ran a wire from pin11 on the edis module direct to the rev counter i had to get the pin from a scrap edis plug. I drilled a hole in the back of the plug between the 2 green wires in your pic. It worked for me but hasnt worked for others. Hope this helps

Was it easy enough to drill the hole between the two greens on the connector?Looks a bit of a tight fit!
I dont even know if I have the right clocks for the conversion lol!
the pump I am not sure about, I am sure its an Intank pump as I can hear it under the seat but it is seperately wired to a switch so quite possible to be inline.
How would I check the float?

The conversion should work on most clocks as its a clean tacho output the multi plug comes apart so drilling was easy and you need to take it apart anyway to put the extra pin in. It was really easy to do. Just hope it works as people have tried it and it didnt work for them but i dont know what clocks they used.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
My car tank reads 1/4 then runs out, my car has a efi I tank pump which I replaced, also took pump out and checked gauge while everything was. Out and the sender was working perfectly even tries a puma pump sender which do fit in a efi tank, I am looking at fuel gauge wizards on very to alter the reading to the clocks, seems a common thing but there never seems to be an answer for it
