Default rear spolier fittings for tailgate

Hello

I was hoping someone would be able to help me with something that I'm really struggling with. I have been to Ford Evans Halshaw and searched the internet but found nothing.

I am trying to find/ or alternative for the rear spoiler fittings. I sourced a mint rear tailgate off a 88 spec rst and mine is the 90 spec, i had to drill off the screws and now have no way of fitting my tailgate back on.

I did find a picture here from an ended item on ebay, I've contacted the seller see if he has anymore but no luck on that.

Hope this is enough for anyone to suggest help, i can't get the rivet things the screws go into out of the tailgate without damaging it otherwise id go down B&Q, don't fancy tiger sealing it on either

Thank you

I'd just drill them out as carefully as possible can't see how else you'll fix it. Tiger seal wouldn't hold it properly mate.

Carefully grind the heads down on the rivets on the tailgate, and they will fall through, and rivet new rivnuts in,lots of grease on the bare metal before .Your local nut and bolt supplier can match you up the right thread bolts to match the rivnuts, with whatever head you want on top,(in stainless aswell ) so no rust ,just poke something down your 90 spec holes to measure the correct length you want,we have a place round here called south Essex fastners that match all type of nut and bolts etc

hi guys
the screw heads have already been carefully drilled out. The spoiler is off without any damage on both.

I just don't know what to use to fit it again. I could pop the rivets in the tailgate out and refis new ones like mentioned with new screws but where should i be looking for these

cheers fellas

I thought to hell with the rivets etc. So I used a 6mm tap. I created a thread in the tailgate and then put some bolts into the holes. A little tiger seal to stop water ingress aswell.
