Dilemma
Been looking for a nice spec 2wd Saff for ages now and still nothing ive got a moonstone blue totally standard 71k 3 owner car and I'm at the point of going to town on it just seems wrong to do it to a nice original Saff but I surpose if you want it the your way it's got to be done so I'm going into work in the morning stripping it bollock naked and going the the whole process again we must be mad

Had a good day on it today stripped ready for the paint shop and I'm more than happy with the condition in fact I'm buzzing wax oil everywhere no rust what so ever steamed the sills floors and inner arches and the chassis back to factory conditions I'm going to town on this gem lol night on eBay I think

Sounds like u had bargain there do the price on the condition it is mate.

It wasn't a real bargain at 8.5 k but they are so hard to find these days without them been attacked by metal mites 6 to 7 gets you a car needing a lot work to get to a nice standard so to get one without having weeks of grinding and welding repairing is great

At the end of the day its your car and your choice what you do to it. If other people criticise you thats up to them but do your own thing and ENJOY it!!!

I have had my 1990 2wd Sapphire for 21 years, bought it in standard low mileage trim. Right from day one knew I wanted it to have lots more power, handle and brake better so keeping it standard had no appeal for me. I have never regretted modifying it and it has given me lots of satisfaction. Purists hate it I expect but each to their own!
At the end of the day its your car and your choice what you do to it. If other people criticise you thats up to them but do your own thing and ENJOY it!!!

purely from a financial perspective it would work out a lot cheaper to sell your original car and replace it with a well modified one ,as you can bury the cost of a car in just buying upgrades

I know exactly where you are comoing from Tried that mate nothing out nice spec 2wd are hard to get hold of ive had 15k plus for the perfect car for 9 months and yet nothing so this one fell into my lap so couldnt let it go .

Just a rolling shell now I'm going degrease the whole car Tomoz ready for Adam to take down the jonesys to paint , whilst the running gear is out I'm going refurb the lot . But before I do that I'm having my garage roof and floors ect done so I can work on it properly and take my time busy couple of months for me but it came apart so well one nut seized and snapped on the whole car don't think it's had any work apart from servicing happy bunny looking at my rl7 s sat on the floor and can't wait to stick them on lol
