That's petrol heads for you! The more you think about things, the less sense they make, so just don't think!

your car, your choice imo mate, the purists won't like it but fuck em, we'd all be driving round in standard cars if they had their way lol!

It wasn't a real bargain at 8.5 k but they are so hard to find these days without them been attacked by metal mites 6 to 7 gets you a car needing a lot work to get to a nice standard so to get one without having weeks of grinding and welding repairing is great

I have had my 1990 2wd Sapphire for 21 years, bought it in standard low mileage trim. Right from day one knew I wanted it to have lots more power, handle and brake better so keeping it standard had no appeal for me. I have never regretted modifying it and it has given me lots of satisfaction. Purists hate it I expect but each to their own!
At the end of the day its your car and your choice what you do to it. If other people criticise you thats up to them but do your own thing and ENJOY it!!!

Problem with me I'm never happy for long with what I've got I've had 6 4x4 saffs and 3 escort cosworths all absolute stunners all of them and spent some coin too . Obviously the escort cosworth are the better looking car but They don't drive as nice as a rwd Saff so I'm doing this one to keep and the way I want it .

purely from a financial perspective it would work out a lot cheaper to sell your original car and replace it with a well modified one ,as you can bury the cost of a car in just buying upgrades

Good news you got another one wes sounds like you've found a cracker too. I say go for it and mod it, if you keep all the original parts you can always re fit if you ever want to return it to standard. Get some pictures up.

Just a rolling shell now I'm going degrease the whole car Tomoz ready for Adam to take down the jonesys to paint , whilst the running gear is out I'm going refurb the lot . But before I do that I'm having my garage roof and floors ect done so I can work on it properly and take my time busy couple of months for me but it came apart so well one nut seized and snapped on the whole car don't think it's had any work apart from servicing happy bunny looking at my rl7 s sat on the floor and can't wait to stick them on lol
