Midas Bronze kit car
Hi guys
My Dad is selling his project, after taking a liking to his donor car - DOH!
Details and photos below. He's going to put it on Ebay at the weekend but I thought I'd put it up on here in the meantime.
Details:
1989 MIDAS BRONZE MK2 Austin Rover Mini based kit car - rolling shell
This the special edition 'Decathlon' in British Racing Green Gel-coat, (one of the last MK2s built).
It is virtually complete with all the special Midas exterior and internal panels, and basically needs an engine/gearbox , battery, exhaust
and interior finishing.
Comes with a rear roll cage hoop.
Being Mini based, gives a huge choice of A series engines from 998cc through 1275 to 1400 plus, or something even more exotic!
The car is in very good condition having been registered but not driven on the road, and would make an excellent new project or alternatively could be an ideal basis for updating/re-shelling
an existing Midas. The rear beam axle, fuel tank and front sub frame have been waxoyled for additional protection.
Spare parts include all the Midas body coloured headlamp surrounds, rear axle end covers, door mirrors, internal grey leathergrain moulded
headlining, hatch liner, rear wheel arch covers etc. Original carpets have been removed, but kept as templates for cutting new carpet.
Also included are a pair of reclining sports seats, new old stock Metro instrument cluster, new windscreen seal, spare door frames, factory
build manual, magazine articles etc.
New commitments and lack of time oblige me to pass her on to someone who has the enthusiasm and time to give her the attention she deserves!
PLEASE NOT THE ALLOY WHEELS SHOWN IN THE PICS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE, standard steel wheels and tyres will be fitted.
The car is SORN on a 'D' reg prefix and you will need a trailer to collect.
(Delivery could be arranged at extra cost)
