Ford Fiesta RS Turbo Frontmount Cossie Wheels etc
Hi all,
Ok i hav'nt owned a Ford for a good four years now and got a major hankering for one a couple of months back. I didnt want another cossie due to running costs so set my heart on a Fiesta RS! I only bought the car a couple of weeks ago and knew it was a mistake when the mrs said in advance she wont even get in it! Well i bought the car and love it but honestly think i paid to much for it and simply dont have the time to put right the bits that need sorting and as i paid over the odds for it i really dont want to be paying a garage to sort it! I must point out when i bought the car it was advertised as mint! Im not here to pull the wool over anybodys eyes and will be 100% honest about the car.
Ok good bits to start off with. Spec from what i can see and have been told. It is a genuine RS Turbo not some dodgy xr2i rep!!
124,000 miles
MOT to 5/07/2011
TAX to 31/12/2010
Plenty of old service receipts
Huge front mount intercooler
Stage 2 T3 Turbo
Beige injectors
New K&N air filter
Full stainless exhaust
Piper cam and verner pully
RR setup at Power Engineering 13/04/2010 with Dyno sheet
Tuned to 165bhp as the guy i bought it off wanted it easier to drive! in London? Its only running 0.8
Escort cossie wheels in decent nick though do have minor curbing
Decent Michelin tyres all round, side walls are slightly scrubbed though due to lowness of the car
Koni adjustable suspension (with adjusters!)
Boost gauges turbo timer etc
Bonnet raisers
Alarm with remote locking
The bodywork is very tidy for a H plate car i must say and is what made me buy it in the first place.
Ok now for the bad! Please read carefully
The fan only works on a switch
Theres a problem with the alternator (the only problem i was told buy the seller!) I have not noticed any major problem with this other than the ignition lights sometimes flicker on. It does however start first time everytime
Theres a weird earthing problem where the headlights stay on all the time (i should have this fixed though)
The suspensions very low and rubs on heavy braking
The usual rust starting to show around the filler cap
Theres a slight dent and crack in the paint on the bonnet
The bonnet catch works in a weird was as in you reach under the bonnet and pull the cable to release.
It looks like the nutty proffessor has been at some of the wiring in the engine bay!
The turbo has just started to smoke on over run.
The foglights dont fit due to the intercooler but i think it looks quite good like that!
Ok it sounds a right dog now i have described it properly lol and the pics were taken the day after buying it and it was filthy. I have since polished it (i dont think it had been cleaned for years before!!!) and tbh it does look very nice.
Obviously i know it will strip for quite a bit of money but in all honesty i think its far to good to strip as it simply needs a bit of time rather than money spending on it. Im pretty sure good RST's are getting hard to find as this was the second i looked at after the first blew up on the test drive lol I did drive it back from London in rush hour and it does drive pretty well.
As you can see i want to be as honest as possible not like the seller i bought it from! I paid far to much for it and know i wont get that back however im not willing to lose a fortune on it! Im not desperate for the cash so no silly offers please i think the price is very fair considering.
I can get some better pics if required though these do show it in its worst light.
£1900 so i can buy a set of R888s for my TVR! Or put it towards a Racing Puma so im still in the fold!
Ps the Navigator in the background is for sale as well!!!

Cheers mate, it isint i just want to be clear about the car but all in all i dont think its a bad car for the price.
The turbos only started smoking and it still pulls like a train! Hmmmm i've been looking at Racing Puma's... the mrs still says she wont get in it she reckons shes to old for these kind of cars, fucking snob!

Hi all,
I have just returned from the mechanics who has looked over the car and has identified the headlight issue as a problem with the fuse box which is apparently a common fault. He nor i can source a fuse box in time so the car is being sold as it is so please buy accordingly. You are buying a car that needs work doing to bring it up to scratch again.
