pinto/YB alternator compatible?
Hi would anybody know if a pinto alternator will fit the YB cosworth engine? Thanks in advance

It's not so much the engine, rather the output.

hi marty cheers for that, its a 2.0 yb 2wd just you put cosworth in front of anything and the price shoots up you know how it is lol.

But what model, i.e. MK1 or 2? The latter had a 90 A unit, so you don't want to buy an underrated one!

whats wrong with your one,very rarely go wrong,just change the brushes/regulator.you should be able to do it in situ,about half hours work.

hi i dont have a one i got the engine without it its a 1989 from a sapphire, but its all going into my 3 door. cheers
