Hi,
Sorry no news. We are reliant on someone that is genuinely ill at present, we dont want to hastle him as he has more important things to worry about than a website. It will be back, just not sure on the timescale, hopefully will know more this weekend. In the meantime plenty of other sites like this one to post on & im sure plenty to do on your cars!
Thanks to Passionford mods/admin for allowing this thread to stay, as it helps inform people. Cheers.

Thanks for the update tony.
It's a bit of an ironic piss take how one registrars site's link is allowed on the Rsoc site and actively promoted in RN and yet another registrars site isn't even allowed to be mentioned on there without it being deleted as it's not within the interests of the club despite being owned by 15+ year Rsoc members.

Ive not been on the rsoc forum this year. Is it completely dead now. Have members been requesting for it to go back. Ive not really missed it, but does seem wierd not going on there after almost a decade of heavy usage.
Its not often, you struggle to make yourself heard Chrisp

I sent you a pm , reply....in English , not that language you use please.
Its taking longer than we thought as you can guess, , when I have definite news I will let you know, but we are more hopeful now than we were last week!
Shame really, They need to promote the forum heavily with a new user friendly approach. Bring back the 'forum for all'. The Facebook page is a pain with idiots posting my mk2/3 RS this and that which is damn right annoying when Ford have produced numerous or different RS car based on a MK2/3 model.
there are enough posts to keep it ticking over
there is alot of info on there
alot of good and helpful people
i dont know anyone on there personally so my view is not biased
Our approach is that if one person finds the site useful then its worth doing, judging by the calls/texts/emails we have had some people want it back so it will be. We have finally got to the route of the issue so I genuinely expect it back in the near future.

I agree that most forums are quieter now than ever, but still a place for them imo although they cant compete with facebook etc for traffic.
Ive always used several forums inc this one for many years ( I had problems with my old user name RS1600ireg so I made a new one recently) & I get something useful from them all.
I enjoyed reading this forum. Great to see some helpful people solving problems. Loads of information on how to restore a car and solve car problems. Hope to see it running again soon.
I dont have a MK3 Escort, But I find S1turbo forum very helpful, friendly and always great to see pics on there. I've only stumbled across 1 nasty person on there in the years i've been on it.
We're working on bringing it back and hopefully with some help we'll be able to transfer over to a new server soon
Taken longer than we thought, can only apologise, shouldnt be too much longer from what ive been told.
As said earlier the person that was responsible for the server is genuinely ill, we are changing the hosting of the server & the person responsible, which has taken longer than anticipated.

Strange, as two people out of the three who own it have posted on here with an explanation
Sorry it can't be quicker, but it's out of our hands for the reasons rs1600ireg has already posted. Sometimes other things are more important than a website..
