After seeing MK s (Marc's) lovely clean gearbox I thought I had better do the same whilst my box is off the car.

Did a lot of the bulkhead in reflacta gold to help lower the cabin temps. Just got to use a pi and roller to reduce the creases although most is covered by turbo heat shield and engine etc.

The gold colour screw seems to be a seal to stop fluid coming out but I can't get it to go in with that odd shape thingy. The ball on the thingy seems to fit the cup on the gold coloured bung.

1.5 inch metal thing is on the far left, the gold plug to the right of it...the second pic shows the hole it goes in to.

The next bit is the 4x4 master with the pressure pump removed, the pressure pump will be on the inner wing and a bespoke loom will run the pressure pump. I bought another 4x4 master and was able to work out the bung and thingy problem. It is some sort of stop for the pedal

So straight edge across front of bell housing where it meets the block face. Ruler to front of input shaft is 11.8mm and that doesn't allow for the thickness of the ruler so easily 12 mm.

I used a dust cover for the whole pattern and then cut it in to two and reduced the metal I did not need with the plasma cutter, then I traced around with the plasma on 2 sheets of 2mm steel and then plug welded through and linished back to flat, now I can put one bit in from above and 1 from below and remove it if I need to get to the clutch without moving the whole box too far. This gives me around 6mm of spacer bringing me back to the 450mm / 451mm to match MKs measurement of his box.

This bolts on to the original anti vibration bolt on the abs pump, only now the pump is remote from the brake master cylinder as I don't have room.

Here is the pump mounted on the front chassis leg. The heat proof sleeve protects the low pressure brake fluid supply. The convoluted tubing just stops anything rubbing the high pressure brake line back up to the master

Here you can see the heat shield bolt and how it all goes together. I need to add a dot 4 only sign as the tilton cannot use dot 5.

Heat shield in place to protect all hydraulics from the turbo. All the lines have heat sleeve too.

Anyone know which 2 of these 3 to use and if it matters which is front and rear. Which to block and any suggestions as to what to block with. I have been thinking of welding over one of the screw in nipples and then wind it back in. I have a plug for one of the sizes.

Here is a closer shot. There are two small and one large. One is the return or feed for the abs block that I am not using.

I have put a post on the 4x4 non abs but using abs pump thread but I need to know which one of these to delete and if there is a front or back brake preference?
