Default Custom inlet manifolds - 700+bhp capability (updated photos)

£350 delivered. Can supply 4x1000cc injectors to suit for £350 as well.

The OE ones are limited to the following bhp (in the main due to the restrictive elbow NOT the throttle body, which will comfortably flow 600+bhp).
2wd = 430bhp
4x4 = 450bhp
EECIV = 500bhp

This manifold removes the restrictive elbow, and due to it's unique design has a pressure difference across the cylinders on par with the OE set-up.

The engine MUST be live mapped with this manifold to deal with the extra air at all rpms this can give with the correct turbo.

Bolts to existing inlet trumpets (not included) and can accept standard throttle bodies or 3" ones (not included).

Available in the new year in highly polished finish (just right for all you bufties .

Also comes complete with throttle brackets now (as well as Cometic gasket and all bolts etc).

can you supply them in a rough finish so I don't have to polish it!

Is it a straight replacement for a standard 4x4 one Mike?

cheers

Mike,

is there any advantage or disadvantage of fitting one to a 350hp engine???

I know there might not be any benefit but I wouldnt want any loses either.

Also, you sent my bits yet??

your said to loose mid range on a low power car, but it's very similar to mineand I've been running it on my set up with T34 24psi boost and it's still good midrange and responsive, that with a low comp engine.

Danny,
Top secret...

Simon,
If you don't want one highly polished, you can always paint it as per the one I have at present.

Yes it it is a direct replacemet for a an standard Cosworth manifold.

Yodi,
You may get a small amount of response reduction on a small turbo (similar to when you fit a big intercooler), due to the increased volume.

Yes, you should receive before 12 today.

Gain of 20bhp above 5500rpm when compared to EECIV inlet at same boost (not had chance to compare against RS500 type, which would supply similar improvements against a EECIV plenum I believe).

When tested on the dyno, there was no problem what-so-ever. The designer acknowledges that there is a few % disparity between the air flow between the cylinders, which, as you will know is the same with the standard set up (and hence why No.3 cylinder is always problematical, as it receives more air than the rest). This Swedish set up has less disparity, but still not 100% perfect. However, when throwing fuel in, just like on the 500 conversions, you won't have any problems.

Dan,
Because my remit was for stonking throttle response and what-ever power the turbo would produce @ 27psi, and so not a 700bhp engine . This meant that the volume of the EECIV plenum was ideal for the power that I ended up with and I didn't need the volume of a 700bhp plenum for a 400bhp engine...

Congratulations on your new job!

Gary,
Haven't got any brackets spare at moment, but when the next order comes over I will ask them to send an extra bracket over (will of course check with you first that you still need it).
Best regards

But Mike you said you gain 20bhp above 5500rpm..so surely it would be worthwhile even on yours Plus with anti-lag...you wouldnt notice any difference

Tempted myself actually I need to get back into my cossie and remeber why the fuck i bought and modded it

Phil, yes but at a loss down the bottom, which I didn't want in my car and you'd get banged up if you had ALS on all the time as well as it exceeding lots of track's noise limits. I built a grunt monster, hence why the limit on the boost. If I had wanted just outright power, then I would have used one on my car, but the EECIV had the exact volume I wanted for the low down response.

Danny,
If you want to talk, the land line is detailed .

looks like what I`m after, just wondering if it uses all std gaskets (throttle body and plenum)? What provisions does it have for pressure sensors underneath was it 4 or6 and what else is under there? And lastly where does this new cover sit above the original, is the angle from I/cooler to it very steep?Its a possible purchase, Thanks Mike.

Mr C,
Comes complete with all gaskets. Is custom built to whatever throttle body you want from standard to 4".

As standard there is four, but you can have as many as you want.

See pictures below for installation in car (thanks to John Woolley for taking them):

Mike, do they come with the throttle cable bracket or would i need to make that myself? (I would be using a standard throttle body)

and sorry to bug you but do you know if i would still be able to use my existing engine map or would this affect it to the point of needing a new one?

thanks.

Darren,
Comes with bracket.

No point in fitting if you don't do a re-map. This is a MUST.
