Default Birmingham based Ford Fans??

Hi everyone, just a quick post to see what the scene is like here in the Second City?

Been a long time Ford fan and looking at getting into the scene more now but seems as if apart from the street racing scene (which I really am not a fan of) there isn't much of a scene down this end and its a little disappointing since I know that there is ALOT of tidy Fords around here...

I've scene numerous locations that would be perfect for meets and getting this sorted but I'd like to see just what the collection of fans around here is actually like.

Did the low and slow with my 1.4 Ibiza last year on coilovers, they lasted half a day as the ride was awful, and my old mk2 golf had a 40mm drop

Well lets keep this thread going and make the Midlands a Ford based city again where kids in novas/corsas etc are afraid to go hit the streets lol

On a serious note though with the history this area has with the motor industry we need to make it worthwhile again and yes if that means making meets with numerous forums and clubs to keep things active then so be it but...

WE WILL MAKE THE MIDS A BLUE OVAL ONCE AGAIN

this is doing my head in now, I have spent 3 days straight trying to get the REAR springs removed and replaced with lowering springs on my focus estate and because ATM its SORN I can not go get it done at a garage (that and the fact I don't really know anyone local I can trust since I usually do 90% of the work myself) I have another couple of weeks off of work and want this done sooner rather than later so I can then in turn get it ready for Ford Fair 2013 having spent a good time walking around the passion ford stand last year I would love to have the Estate there representing Birmingham and the Midlands.

Does anyone know of any local garages around the Halll Green/Kingsheath area that could sort this out? If not I'll have to look at getting it trailered to where I am living now and sending to another garage

There's a garage at the top of Yardley wood road opposite the bus garage, not sure of there prices as im like u and rather do my work all myself, out of all my cars on one has had to go to a garage twice for headgasket and *clutch* which ended up rolling out with recon gearbox

see even things like a headgasket and clutches I have done numerous times and have even done track side so normally the lack of room/equipment doesn't bother me however being as I just cant get the clearance I need or the air tools to get the damn springs off by any means I have tried I am just going to have to resort to getting them done via a garage instead. Guess I will pop down and speak to them next time im over that way and see what they say.

BTW did you used to have the old RED mk2 Golf?
