Hello mate
oh dear
welcome to the world of brake conversions on RST's. First things first, what position are your calipers mounted at, and in which direction are the bleed nipples facing on the rear calipers?

AS ABOVE WHEN U BLEED THE REAR BRAKES U HAVE TO BLEED THEM WHILST THE CALIPER IS NOT FIXED !
SO U CAN PULL THE CALIPER ROUND TO THE TOP SO THE NIPPLE FACES UPWARDS THATS HOW ITS EXPELS THE AIR GIVE IT A TRY IT WILL BE THAT!!
YOU'LL NOT BE GETTING THE AIR OUT OF THE RAR CALIPRS!

also depends on teh size of the mater cylinder which is sized initially to move enough fluid to move the 2 std pistons on teh fron andn teh 2 tiny slave cylinder in teh rear hubs - once you increase the amount of fluid needed to apply the brakes by adding bigger brakes with bigger pistons and caliopers (more aparent on the back) you will find that brake pedel travel is greatly increased as yuo have to move more fluid to make the brakes come on - you may need a bigger master cylinder...

)When i had air in mine my pedal would hit the floor and the brakes would barely work, once bled the pedal had a fair old travel but did get firm. MOT centres can fail on excessive pedal travel though. Mine was ok, but to be honest the brakes feel no better, if not worse than they were, a bigger master cylinder HAS to be fitted IMO if your going to do the brakes. What size is your master cylinder currently?
hi i've used a presure pleader on the brakes to get the air out. the rear capilers r mounted on the back with the nipple at the top. but i thought after all that the master was to small... has any fitted a different servo/master ian p.s how do u put pic on this cheers
Hello mate
i used a pressure bleeder for mine too, but if the nipples arent in the right place u will still get air pockets in them. Can u take a picture of the rear caliper for me? I'm currently looking into doing my master cylinder. On your master cyliner there should be a number printed on the side, being a series 1 im guessing 22, maybe 23.
Pictures, on the main forum index page in the Frequently asked questions section there is a very good how-to on pictures.
