Got bit of a problem.

I moved my car, parked up, put the handbrake on and bang, heard a loud noise and the car started to roll.

I noticed the handbrake wasnt locking and have no handbrake at all, it is just sliding up and down.

Any ideas what to look for or what could of happened?

Cable snapped ?

 

Sounds like the handbrake cable has snapped to me.

Take a look under the car andsee if any cables are hanging down. They look similar to the steel brake cables u get on a bicycle
