Default Metering Head

Just been helping a mate with his MK2 XR2 that hes dropped a RS engine in. Today was the moment of truth with sad results

Turns out there is no fuel delivery out of the injectors, so we then removed one of the injector pipes off the metering head, and while he was cranking the car over i had the flap fully depressed and no fuel was coming out??? HOWEVER.....when we cracked the pipe off there was fuel pressure there, which is extremely odd.

I did have a feeling a long time ago the metering head was going to be a problem as it was very stiff.

Anyone got any thoughts? I converted my own car and that started first click, but i just thought i'd ask incase anyone has an idea i havent thought of.

The pump IS running, and weve checked its piped up correctly aswell?

So anyone? Please feel free to prove me wrong

lol!!!!!

Dont be so hard everyone has to learn somewhere

Check this shit though, he stripped it down in front of me, springs flying everywhere and allsorts, sprayed a bit of WD40 on, screwed it back together (with little bits of dirt inside) then i got bored and went home, and he reckons the thing started after i went

So perhaps im thick as shit??!!

Well this is debateable, this is the same person that was asking me why when he turned the ignition it was engaging the starter trying to start itself, jamming and smoking the battery cables, then he realised he had forgotten to put all the engine earths on

Ive told him to get a different one anyway and i stick by my judgement

Im more concerned as to wether or not the front subframe on your Orion (presuming thats your car in the sig) can with-stand real power and stress being put thru it?? If you want, i'll take a easy pull off for you, ok??
