what will igain if i put adeasil box on my rs will it gain anything or will id be better off haveing the lsd fitted will the car be all over the shot if i ran the deasil box dose the s2 rs have an lsd fitted or not????any advice pls

 

yes the S2 does have a lsd fitted as standard, thats if the standard box is still in it!!!!!

 

By fitting a Diesel box in your RS i believe i am 100% accurate when i say u will gain some brown stains in your pants

It will be a nightmare dont do it

 

Don't put a diesel box in you will gain NOTHING!! they are no stronger or better if anything they are worse get a proper rs box with LSD all the diesel box will make you car do is spin one wheel and you will lose grip in the corners and thats not a good thing

 

how do you tell if its a lsd box can you mod the s1 box to go in the s2?????

 

Hi a S1 box will fit in a S2, but not the other way round as the MK3 Escort has a different mount at the front of the box which isn't used on the MK4. If the box is still in the car jack the front up, spin one front wheel, if it has a LSD the other front wheel will spin in the same direction. If the box is out of the car look where the drive shafts go into the box if there is a bar going from top to botton and you can see throught to the other side there is no lsd.

Could be wrong, but I think the diesel box has different gear ratios giving a taller 5th gear, hence a bit more top end.

Not sure if your loosing power in the lower gears though?

Deffinately get a good working LSD
