Rear wiper has packed up.Where do I start?
Take off the black panel on the inside of the tailgate to reveal the motor and wiring.
If your anygood with a tester make sure your getting a voltage to the motor when the wiper switch is turned on.
If its live but the motor isnt working the motors dead.
I've got a spare if you need one!
If there is no voltage check fuses (probably better to do this first before anything else!) and also check for a break in the wiring where the wires go through the tailgate into the body of the car - these are notorious for breaking up over time from the boot being open and closed over the years.

is where my money is on
took the black box off and the motor is fine, fiddled around with the wires, shut the tailgate and it was working fine. Then put the black box back on tried again and nothing.Think there must be a loose connection.Got a day off work tomorrow so will have another go again.Cheers for your help.
My moneys on a break in the wire between the tailgate and the body of the car.
Easy way to test, switch on the rear wiper, and wiggle the wire about in that area to see if it stops.
Then you've got the lovely task of repairing the break in the wire.
