right guys here I go again I was working in my fez and during the tea break I was going through my old mag references and I read about an XR2i that had an OIL cooler and that it helped its performance therefore I want to do it to mine can any one tell me how to do it? and also how do i put mi pic in here or the restoration forum so I can show you the whole rebuild project

I think it might be referring to the coolant hose that byepasses the oil filter mate?

As for fitting a proper oil cooler, ie a radiator, it's not needed unless you're going to drive the nut's off your car at track day's etc.

Possibly, i wasn't sure if he meant fitting a coolant based oill cooler (i thought they had these standard anyway) or whether he meant removing the coolant based one and fitting an after market radiated one as you say?

Have to wait and see what he means

Right guys My fez is an xr2i 1.6 8v and it does not have PAS so yes it is a cooling oil and yes it's gonna be a track car so I will be driving the balls out of it

PAS does have an oil cooler but not important to modify but engine cooling oil now that does matter and thats the one i want to keep cool therefore the oil cooling question

Right i see, PAS and engine oil cooling are two completely different entities.

Firstly, where your oil filter bolts on, is there an adapter between it and the block with 2 coolant pipes running to it?
