tbh it sounds like it run out of fuel..lol. is your guage accurate?
other than that live the pump from the battery and see if it runs if it does then the pump is ok and its either your wiring or a relay, if still it dont work its the pump.

if the fuel pump aint priming then its most likley your fuel pump relay
its under the drivers foot pedals and its a pink relay!

they are prone to burning out !
check it and u'll tell if its been hot or burnt!

I'll agree with you they are prone to burning out:

I could smell that fucker, pulled over just intime i think everything was RED hot

You can check if your pump is working by bridging on the relay plug, with the relay removed and the ignition on, the Black and Black/Red wire, if it doesnt run, first check the fuse, and if thats ok i'd say its the pump, or connections on the pump.

Its all the same thing, main fused & over voltage protected supply for the KE Jetronic ECU. Its number 6 im sure, the fuses should be numbered on either the lid, or look closely in the fusebox and you should see little numbers in it.

I see, try disconnecting the cold start valve, they make matters worse more often than not, and its pretty common for an MFI RS to missfire slighty when first started, soon clears up though.
