gear box oil

Default gear box oil

Ok just bought some gear box oil for my esc cos but how do you put it in there? Do i need an adaptor for it to put on the end of the bottle?

in the gearbox, 1.3 litres.

in the transfer box, half a litre.

It’s quite tricky, as the filler plug is on the side, and you cannot lift the bottle high enough for a gravity feed. I used my brake bleed kit. I filled the bottle with the gearbox fluid, then pressurised the bottle with my compressor (approximately 10 psi) which forced the oil up out of the bottle, and into the gearbox. Worked like a treat. Did the same for the transfer case.

i bought the stuff in a bottle with a long tube as a neck and squeeze it like fook to force it in.

Keep the bottle in the garage for next time.
