fooker !

turns over ok... no prime 'buzz' from fuel pump... maybe fooked relay ? bridged wire from battery to pump... pumps ok then....

does the relay switch anything else that could cause a none starting effect ?

plugs are firing ok.

I can smell fuel around the metering head, but the guy seems to think no fuel is passing and getting to the injectors.

any quick ideas on what to try and what to check / look for etc etc

The cheating way to get your car started is to get a small amount of petrol and put it onto your filter so when your turn the car over it will draw in the fumes and fire up. Just be ready to turn the engine off if the revs go sky high.

give the top of the metering head a sharp thump with a hammer if it is stuck this may release it if it starts u ll now its the the meterin unit to check the relay just take the pink 1 from under the drivers foot well and bridge the to wires across the pump should run constant

 

JUST AN IDEAR CHECK THE INJECTOR FUSE, BECAUSE I HAD A SIMULAR PROB WITH MY S2.
