Default DANGER xr3 suspension !! :wall:

my mk3 xr3 sometimes if i go over a pot hole (hard to avoid nowadays )
it feels like it skipps to the side (on the rear ) i have put top adustable koni shocks and springs on,i have not yet changed all the rubbers

(Q1) on the mk4 turbos they have an anti rollbar on the rear wishbones do these make a vast improvement on handling and would they stop the rear skippy feel on the rear?

(Q2) ive still to put a s1 turbo front anti rollbar is there anything i have to watch out for and wat kind of difference should i aspect from it ?

any information or pics be much appreciated thanks

Is it one side or both sides or does it change sides etc ??

Check the cars rear toe angles are aligned correctly, and make sure the rubber in the top mount isn't split.

Fitting an ARB on the back wont stop it.

I dont run any ARB's front or rear (for info ) Don't expect a great deal of difference (if any) if your on a std engine and brake set-up.

thanks for replying but its both sides i did change both rubbers at the top of the rear legs with genuine ford ones where they go into the boot when i put the konis on

i have not yet changed the ones in the wishbone itself, have you ever had this prob ?

the car is gona get disc brakes all round this year and more power

i did get a similar thing on my mk4 cab on the rear but not as bad and the rear wish bones ive put on this are of my cab

Don't think it will be the wishbone, unless the bushes in them are really knackered.

I dont have that problem no as I dont have any wishbones on mine.

I have a fully adjustable link arm set-up, which replaces the rear arms mate.

We make them all ourselves.

Some details in the sig - look for transverse rear arms

1st thing it wasn't a selling pitch but yes you do need coilovers.

Lets try and get to the bottom of your problem first - thats the main idea

Yes mate thats mine.

At the moment I change the fronts monthly whilst we do some development work on stuff.

It has a bias pedal box up front and did run for years on standard cossie discs and RST S2 calipers with expensive mintex competition pads.

Over the last few months its had anything from 260mm discs to 305mm discs, its currently on 285mm discs with aloy 6 pot calipers, but I can't keep them lol. All under the 15" wheel yes

The rears are standard sierra calipers and non vented discs, but I do have some 300mm discs to go with the std calipers just cant be bothered to fit them yet.
