Is it possible to fit the 2.5 V6 duratec engine from a mondeo into a '97 Escort Gti? If it can be done is it worth it with the labour costs involved?

Or Is there an alternative engine that could be used to fit easier?

What would the best option be to get more power then? A different engine swap, or turbo'ing the 1.8 ...

 

turbo would be ultimate power, otherwise drop a 2.0 in then turbo that later when ya bored

2.0 is pretty much a straight swap

 

Get yourself a 2lt Zetec lump and turbo it. Or simply give Fiesta Frenzy a call as Ian does complete packages. Im sure their are other tuners who do the same or similar.

 

Or put a good I4 RS 2000 engine in and throttle body it - none of this newfangled zetec turbo nonsense
