Default actuator info please

can anyone tell me please, wot type of actuator is this??? i have acquired a new turbo, and it has this type of actuator on it, and it does not look anything like my existing actuator of the -31 variety, it is much bigger and nicer looking.

iv been told so far that it is a cossie -34 item, or a t34 turbo actuator rather than a t3 turbo actuator. it would b nice to kno exactly if possible, and also the major differences between this and my normal -31 garret boring looking item.

any help would be great

iv been doing sum research into collins actuators, and they appear to b either a set boost level or a -31 or -34 spec. is there any way of telling what it is i have got?? because i intend to be running 2 stage boost, and i assume im goin to need -31 for that, as the set boost cnt b turned up or dwn, and the -34 im told runs at a minimum of 1 bar, so wnt allow me to run a nice reliable 6-8 psi 4 daily driving.

so confusing, it seems everywhere i look i get more answers contradicting the others!!!

cheers 4 the info so far tho, keep it comin if anyone else has any useful input

as uve already said u will need a -31 for a 2 stage boost that would give u about 7 psi for daily driving then about 16 psi for when u want a bit of fun !

a -34 wouldn't allow u to run 7 psi as its too strong the wastgate can't open!

as for what uve got try pulling the arm outwards if u can move it a bit uve got a -31 if u can't budge it its a -34 lol
thats what ive been told

this mite b a mad theory, but i wud have thought printing the spec on it would have avoided situations like this!!!! lol

wel i shall have a hang off the rod sum time and see if it budges. i hope to god its a -31, cos that saves me buying a new 1. if not, then any1 interested in woteva spec it is in red n blue casing, contact me!!! lol
