Hi ya hope someone can help, i have a strange noise coming from under my bonnet when starting the car, its an 1800 escort GTI Zetec, its the same sort of noise you get from a faulty starter motor but happens the second the car starts and you stop turning the key ? like an crackling noise ???? sound like it could be coming from the ignition module area, any ideas, Please.....

 

have you got anyone to look under the bonnet while trying to strat? not something making a short?
