Default 4x4 cossie idle

ive got a 4x4 sieara cossie it has just started to idle at 1200 rpm and sounds lumpy it drives ok it just ides like shite to me i have been told that the injectors may be on the way out????? if i was to put some yellow/greys/greens in wot else do i need to change? it has a stage 1 chip in it any help would be gratefull


ps any one got some injectors 4 sale

High idle could be a number of things, not necessarily injectors

-Air leak
-Faulty ISCV
-Faulty TPS
and probably more...

You can't just go swapping injectors, greens and greys are not better than yellows... they flow more fuel, so are only useable with a suitable chip.
If you use greens with a stg1 chip, you will overfuel and end up with borewash.

If your car is stage 1, stick to yellows, greens are stage 3.

If you are unsure about all the above, try and find a specialist local to you.

Hi,

On 4x4 (L8 and P8) hight idle on 1200 rpm is often a sign of electronic trouble shooting.
Auto-diagnosis is recommanded.

Hi could be that the TPS needs adjusting....had the same problem on mine...high idle ..approx 2000 rpm cold and warm...(I pulled the plug off teh ISCV and the idle was ok ..I only needed to hold the throttle a bit open when cold...but when warm it was fine) ..... first I thourght it was the ISCV and I cleaned it...even tried a new one..but no change. then I checked the TPS and somehow it had moved (still I dont understand how that could happen, as the screws where not loose)...I adjusted the TPS...and voila...all was ok
