Default losing oil pressure when engine warms up ?

i just changed the crank in my rst i had it polished and measured it was standard so i used all new bearings new oil pump now when it starts up it got good oil pressure but seems to loose it after about 5 mins even though the engine doesnt rattle the gauge reads 0 and oil light comes on ,on tick over and goes off when i rev it over 2 grand . can anyone help ?

HAD SAME PROBLEM CHANGED OIL PRESSURE SWITCH AND IT SORTED IT,IF U TAKE OIL FEED PIPE OF TURBO AND TURN IT OVER U WILL SEE IF YA HAVE GOOD OIL PRESSURE GOOD LUCK

just tryd a new switch and it still the same i just found out off the previous owner it did it on him so he took the bulb out but now i changed all crank and bearings i cant understand why it does it i have got oil pumping from oil feed but gauge still drops to 0 as it wams up and light comes on on tick over ? its strange ???

try a different grade/make of oil and go from there

if the oil is too thin when hot their will be low pressure.

remember oil goes thinner when hot, so theirfore will have less pressure than when its cold (thick).

sounds weird it goes to zero tho

i been putting 10 40 s oil in i thought that would be ok i noi tryed 2 diferent gauges in case 1 was faulty i cant beleive it reads 0 but the engine runs quiet and doesnt rattle or tap ? thanks anyway for all the help ....

been told that 10-40 is too thin for an rs turbo!

try something like 10-60 castrol RS or mobile stuff!

sorry to have to tell u this but i reckon its the bearings still !

i had this problem before and it was because of the wrong size shells!!

to be honest thats what i have thought all along but i just wanted seee if there was anything else. i am going take the crank back out and take it to another engineers see what they say about its size the 1 who did measure it told me it was standard sizes . thanks for that ..............
