Hi,

I Hope you guys can help me, basicaly I have a Ford 1.6 Derv engine out of a old escort van and I want to put it in a Suzuki SJ for of roading.
I know it will fit I just need to sort the engine mounts, but the main question is, what RWD gearbox will fit stright on?
I have a Seirra GB out of a 2.3d, poss around an d plate but I havent had time to see if it will fit on yet.

yeah will need to make engine mounts or mod some sierra ones , most rwd boxes will fit but make sure you have a suitable clutch and flywheel to suit , i have fitted a diesel 1.8 lump in a mk5 escort from a escort van as a run around while i keep my project off the road,.

 

Thanks, for the reply, the 2.3d gearbox didn't fit but i'll keep my eye out for a 1.8/2.0 one, why do you suggest using sierra mounts?
