Default 2wd and 4wd fuel rails

Will a 4wd cars fuel rail fit straight onto a 2wd car? reason i'm asking is that I keep getting leaks from the short rubber pipe between the fuel rail and pressure regulator on my 2wd (I've had 1 small fire ) and I thinki 'm right in thinking the pressure reg on the 4wd rail is bolted straight on the end so will do away with this problem?

Cheers for any info
Steve

right, had the same problem on my saphh.

first of all I've fitted a brandnew short rubber pipe and hoseclips between the fuelrail and fuel pressure regulator.
That didn't work for me as it turned out the fuel pressure regulator was leaking so I've replaced the fuel pressure regulator with a brand new one.

i suggest you to give the 1st option a try, well worth it and the cheapest way.

it will NOT fit straight on! get a proper bit of fuel pipe and new clips job done as long as the regulator ISNT leaking!

1piece CNC rail with Aeroquip hosing to a remote Regulator if the above doesnt work and your car hasn`t burnt.

Steve,

Cant be changed unfortunately, the mounting holes on the plenum brackets are different IIRC, I can always have a look and see if ive got some High Pressure Hose kicking about (usually have) save you having to buy a long piece just for a tiny bit, and send it to you......

Just dont forget, dont use jubilee clips as they bite into the hose, and can cause it to leak (remember 7+ bar), use the proper Fuel hose clips.....

You will either have to make a bracket to hold the 4x4 rail on your 2wd plenum....

Or fit a 4x4 plenum as well as the fuel rail.
