Default saph cooling fan wiring

hi.
my 2wd cossi fan works intermittantly .
sender in the bottom of rad is new .
there is no power to fuse . as soon as you live the fuse the fans work .
i have substituted the relay in the main fuse box but to no avail .
it must be a poor contact in the line coz sometimes it will work .
does anybody know what is in the line and its situation . or a wiring diagram .
or any ideas . thanks very much .
brian

ps
if you bridge the switch they still dont work .
both the small brown wires at the switch are 0 volts even when car is up to temp .
is there another relay under glovebox?
as the only way i can get the fans on is to power the fuse . then they come on regardles of the switch being bridged

Best thing you can do would be to rewire from scratch using a seperate loom, relay and fuses (incorporating the standard rad switch and perhaps a manual override switch if you fancy it) by the sounds of it - the fans are notorious for melting fuse boxes.

i sorted it today
the problem was the brown and black wire at the fan switch was suffering from green corrosion . i followed this back all the way across the front of the slam panel . the wire was finally good near the air box . i replaced this stretch of wire and job done . what was happening was this wire wasnt being switched to earth by the fan switch , so the fan relay wasnt getting the earth supply it needed to energize .
i also fitted a bypass switch just incase it gets hot on track days .
thanks for looking at my problem and the advise offered . i hope my insight might help another cozi owner in their hour of need .
