the chip should be okay, got it from jc motorsport.its seems to be the mixture screw wont adjust the co,if u screw it all the way in it should cut the car outas a lack of juice, but it doesnt,it just ticks over at 800rpm and if you turn it all the way out the co does actually go up but screw it in all the way and ut wont pass 6.5

I recently had this problem on a 3 door not so bad though mine would not go below 4.5%! I bought an L8 as I suspected the mixture screw pot on the ecu board, the L8 helped but alos then found the cam timing was out by 1 tooth and this was also affecting the CO! has the car recently had a cam belt? or is the car running well enough not spluttering and has good snappy throttle response?

nice 1 nick, yeah im going level 8 but wont be till next week, its not long had a grpA belt on it but its only happened when i went to stage3,coz jc said that when i took it in on a stage1,the co levels were high so its bin dodgy since then the engines perfect, starts first flick, never gets anywhere near hot on the temp. but it smells like the grpA fuel pump is just dumping all the fuel all over the floor,im getting about 50miles to thirty quid and thats driving it like me nan .If you hammer the car it hold back between 2000 and 3500 but when the t34 winds up it just fucks of

Yeah mate it will hold back as it is running too rich!! Has the fuel pressure reg been reduced since the grp a pump has been fitted, as a grp A fuel pump can fairly throw the fuel through and this wont be helping! need to get the fuel pressure checked if it is well high the reg will need resetting or changed. either that or change the pump back to a standard unit! especially if only running a stage 3 at the mo!

yeah ive only got that pump on so i no the engine wont blow up,as its not long cost me 4k rebuilding it so i thought it would be best, especially if im taking it round in oultan park in a few wks.i didnt realise tho that the reg could be to blame, sort of makes sense when you think about it,i just thought that the ecu was the only thing that controlled the fuel last before hitting the injectors.... im going try that later, cheers nick

The following may be worth looking at :
Coolant Temp Sensor Checking - info courtesy of Simon @ SECS
1) Ensure ignition is OFF.
2) Remove rear of ecu plug cover and insert plug back into ecu.
3) Turn ignition back on (do not start engine)
4) Check resistance between pins 29 and 11. Should be 800 to 5000 ohms (depends on temp). If outside this range, check sensor and/or wiring.
