where is the water temp sensor on a cossie?

on a 2wd head its at the back near the dip stick handle (blue sensor) this is for the ECU

and there is one near the thermostat housing for the display on the dash.

thought it was.. its the one thats a bit of a cnut to get to,would you say jackin it up was the best way ? thanks mate for the quick reply

i haven't really had to get to it with the engine in situ.

I changed the sensor on mine with the engine out so not 100% sure on the best method.

sure someone will reply soon thats done in with the engine in the car.
