hi i am not running my amal valve just a manual boost controller spliced between the vacum pipe from turbo to wastegate does any one know if i should be running the amal valve will i gain any performance by having it connected?
i run my saph without the amalvalve for 2 years now.....no prob here...
its easy when using boost valve with the winter when the turboboost goes skyhigh...just turn the thing and its ok again...much easier then losen the actuator etc etc...

Hi
I agree. I have done the same recently and dont regret it (so far). The only word of warning I would make is that too little boost it seems can be nearly as harmful as too much!!
I am running a fully prepped stage 3 setup with T35. If I run less than 18PSI, it runs way to rich.
My amal valve was nothing but bloody trouble anyway.
Only one word of warning.
The job of the Amal Valve is to allow the ecu to regulate boost pressure. Its main job is to reduce boost pressure when the engine is cold, and when it is at very high revs.
I assume that you wont be running the engine on boost AT ALL until it is at proper engine temperature. this is the best piece anybody can give you (sorry if you already know this, but better to tell you twice rather than nobody tell you!!)
