Default replacing temp sender on 2wd saf

not 100% sure my temp gauge reads right as it seems to sit just above the M and doesnt really move even when the cooling fans come on.

have bought a new one from ford but wanted some advice on fittng as the old one seems to be fitted with some kind of sealing paste?? (recently re fitted into my head after the rebuild)

can it be fitted with no sealer or maybe by using thread tape??

advice please?

fitted the hoses and had a look at the temp sender...

its atucally the fitting that slides onto the sender itself that playing up i think as some of the wires are broken...

funny how it still works but i think it under reads...

now where will be able to get a new fitting? would prob be able and rejoin the wire if someone has an old loom lying around?

if not maybe one of the breakers??
