Are the S2 and XR2i fuel pumps the same? As I've found one for sale that says it is compatible with both.
Reason is I am putting a S2 engine in my fiesta and was wondering if I could get away with the XR2i fuel tank.
The S2 pump is outside the tank right, is the XR2i?

No the fuel pumps are totally different mate,the s2 is outside the tank and the xr2i one in inside the tank!
Are you just using the bottom end of the s2? Dont know why you dont sell that,then buy a fiesta turbo lump and just get hold of all the ancillaries etc....exhaust,turbo......! it slots straight in to yours with just an ecu and map sensor change?

 

Cheers mate, I'm not going to sell it all now, although I know it would have been a lot easier, but that doesn't bother me . So I need to know what tank to use, if any one has any ideas.

 

you just have to use the original tank you have in the car! If you are going to up the power tho you want to get hold of an escort cossie pump!

 

Great,thanks for your help mate, It is a 1.1 at the moment! Can you recommend anywhere to get the cossie pumps as I'm gonna be running a stg3 turbo with chip etc. so best get one of them!

 

Sorry i thought you meant your car was an XR2I ,well if your car is a 1.1 get in touch with the fiesta centre in norwich,or look for there ad in fast ford or performance ford and theyll sort you out with a tank with a swirl pot in it!
