Default exhaust popping LOUD

hello everyone. I've got a mk3 escort turbo and up to now it seems to have been running sweet with a bottom end rebuild bout 2000 miles ago. just over last couple of days (more so when bit cold still), engine has been very stuttery and driving with kangaroo juice, (if you know what i mean). Everytime i accelerate, after the kangaroo bit it makes a very loud bang out of the exhust tail pipe, then drives off like normal. Please could anyone tell me what this maybe. Thanks, Ben

check the connectors on the coil, and check all the leads. this happened to me on my cossie and it was one of the connectors on the coil, it wasnt sparking so dumping loads of fuel in the exhaust
