4x4 Saff Cossie starting problem..HELP please
Morning gents, Hopefully someone can help with my 4x4 Saff that won't start.
It was starting and running fine, parked it one evening, next morning it turned over and over without starting, the fuel pump was running but didn't do its usual whhirr then stop as it pressured the system, it was just turning lightly, I have just changed the fuel pump, it sounds marginally different now but still won't start. Do you need to 'bleed' the fuel system to remove air after this type of job or does it self prime?
Is the fuel pump polarity conscious? It had no markings on either so have assumed not?
The only thing other than that I have done since it last ran was remove some old amp and speaker wiring, nothing was connected and don't believe I have desturbed anything during removal.
Any advise or ideas would be most welcome, I am not a mechanic and usually put it in a garage for any work but need to get it running to do that
Regards
Jeff

alright matey,Are you absolutly sure you havnt disturbed any wires or flicked any switches just cos you may of disturbed the immobiliser,if one is fitted?also ev1 hides kill switches in cossies in stupid places so make sure you havnt accidently knocked 1.i know this sounds stupid but try wiggling the battery leads, coil lead plug leads etc.it may be a bad connection somewhere, its worth a try!! let me know how you get on... thanx greg
Thanks for taking the time to reply gents, the fault was traced to 2 loose multi-plugs which must have been disturbed under the engine bay removing one of the power leads for the amps, we are rocking again
Thanks again
Jeff
